Cooking 4 fun: Cheese Twisters

Delicious cheesy sticks ready in under 20 minutes!
















1.Preheat the oven 180c (350f) Gas 4.

2.Sift the flour into a large bowl.

3.Add the butter and rub into the flour using your fingertips until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs.

4.Add the grated cheddar to the flour and butter and mix together.

5.Stir the beaten egg into the flour until the mixture starts to come together, then using your hands work into a ball.

6.Sprinkle some flour onto your work surface and a rolling pin.





7.Taking half of your pastry roll out into a rectangle about a quarter of a cm thick.

8.Cut width ways into strips carefully lift them onto the baking tray, leave a space between each one.



9.Bake for 10 minutes, until golden.


10.Leave the twists to cool for a couple of minutes on the tray before putting them on a wire rack.




You can eat these warm or you can cool them completely.
