Cooking 4 Fun: Mini Quiches

Easy tasty tarts!

What you need:

175 g plain flour
pinch of salt
85 g butter
2-3 tbsp cold water to mix
2 rashers of bacon chopped into small pieces
2 eggs beaten
60 g grated Cheddar cheese
150 ml milk
salt and ground pepper


Method

Preheat the oven to 200ºC
Sieve the flour and salt into the bowl. Add the butter and rub it into the flour (It should look like breadcrumbs)
Sprinkle on the water and stir the mixture with a knife. Press the pastry into a ball.


On a floured surface flatten the pastry with your hand. Then roll out to form a circle.



Cut out the pastry circles and place in the bun tin.

Fry the bacon in a frying pan until crisp. Mix together the eggs, cheese, bacon , milk and seasoning.

Spoon the mixture into the cases.





Bake in the oven for 15 minutes


Remove from the oven.  



Place on a wire rack.

Enjoy!!!
